Who is Blue Sky Festivals and Events? 

We are a local small business who hosts several festivals and events in and around Chico. A percentage of our proceeds go to Soroptimist, Hope Commons Church and the Chico Rugby Club. Festivals including the Chico Spring Jam, Chico SummerFest, Chico Country Fest, Chic-OOO-BerFest and the

Red White & Brew - Craft Brew and Wine Fest.

Who is Soroptimist International of Bidwell Rancho?
Soroptimist International of Bidwell Rancho-Chico is a group of professional women who strive to make our community and world a better place for women and girls.

SIBR is a chapter of Soroptimist International, a worldwide volunteer organization for women, founded in 1921.

​

The Soroptimist Mission is to provide women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment. Back in 1996, Soroptimist International of Bidwell Rancho started the Soroptimist Micro-Brew Fest.

 

A lot has happened since then including the explosion of the “Micro-Brew” industry, the Covid Pandemic and the growth of our small town of Chico as a whole.

The “Micro-Brew” world has evolved and expanded into a massive beverage  industry. When we started this festival back in 1996, Sierra Nevada Beer Company was only 5 years old. As of July 2021, more than 1,100 craft breweries in California  and, 2022 saw more than 9,500 breweries operating in the the US.

 

Our Micro–Craft Brew Fest is the oldest and largest beer event in Chico. Over the past several years, our festival has attracted between 800-1,600 guests every year (averaged out to 1000 attendees) between the ages of 25 and 60+ years of age.
